The Animals' Refuge

Every year the Animals’ Refuge helps hundreds of animals in need through our homing and community outreach programmes; offering up-to-date advice, education and pro-active assistance to promote responsible pet ownership. Our services constantly evolve to respond to the needs of our community and its animals.

    Is to help companion animals in need; finding them a safe and comfortable home and helping the community to understand their needs, through support and education.

    The Animals' Refuge aims to:

    • champion the appropriate care and welfare of animals within the community
    • work with other animal regulatory and protective bodies, to safeguard the lives and welfare of animals when asked to do so and appropriate
    • assess, rehabilitate and find safe and appropriate homes for cats, dogs and equines in need
    • promote responsible companion animal ownership through education and support
