Baraka Community Association

Baraka Community Association was founded in October 2000 with the aim of providing educational assistance to refugee children and young people living in North Kensington and surrounding areas. The refugee children, particularly the Somali children are behind in school work. They also lose interest in school work and become disruptive. The project provides a bridge between school and home. Support is provided for homework and other school work. Trained volunteers represent the parents at school.
