Mental Health Matter Wales is an independent non-profit, non-political charity which works with people who have wide ranging mental health related issue, those who lack mental capacity & those who are vulnerable & find it difficult to have a voice. MHMW works with other voluntary organisations & statutory services to promote mental well-being & to ensure there is a comprehensive range of mental health services in Wales.

    MHM Wales was established in 1985. The charity provides a variety of services and projects supporting those with ill-mental health.

    Aims

    “Promote positive mental and emotional health, and well-being through information, advocacy, training and support”
    Objectives are:
    • Provide a range of mental health services based on the needs, wishes and rights of the people who use them.
    • Promote a holistic approach to mental health.
    • Support and empower people.
    • Develop ‘good practice’ in mental health services.
    • Ensure that users of mental health services are involved in services, both within MHMWales and within local mental health services.
    • Raise public awareness.
