We run Lifeskills Centres in Loughborough, Leicester and Derby where we support disadvantaged young people to gain qualifications and employability know-how.
During 2017's Christmas Big Give, we would love to raise funds for our Engage courses, which support the very hardest to reach young people.
TwentyTwenty is an award winning employment support charity for young people. We specialise in supporting and empowering disadvantaged 11-24 year olds who are disengaged from education or not in education, employment or training (NEET).
We break cycles of hopelessness, worklessness and dependency in the most deprived areas of the East Midlands. We aim to consistently put the right people, places and opportunities around each young person, in order to counterbalance some of their persistently difficult home, educational and social experiences. We support our students to develop self-belief and motivation, achieve in education, learn work-ready skills and attitudes and find and keep a good job.
TwentyTwenty aims to:
- • Develop self-belief and motivation. Each centre is a true learning community. Students come together with teachers, counsellors, mentors, business volunteers; all committed to their progress.
- • Achieve in education. Young people gain vital accredited qualifications, critical work-ready skills and attitudes, self confidence through success and positive reinforcement.
- • Learn work-ready skills and attitudes. TwentyTwenty is focused on supporting young people to gain vital life skills that will help them succeed in the workplace
- • Find and keep a good job. Employability’ focused, offering career planning, CV development and interview training. Helping young people develop the know-how and contacts to find employment.
