Founded 2015

  • Mission statement

    The progression of young people is at the heart of our Youth Zone. Both universal and targeted work take place through the ‘Try, Train, Team’ method, which helps to develop young people via engagement in sports, arts and other activities:
    • TRY - Young people can try out a range of new activities without the need for future commitment;
    • TRAIN - Young people can hone their skills in specific sessions with the support of expert coaches;
    • TEAM - Young People are given the opportunity to further develop their skills by taking a specific activity to the next level.
    Young people choose their own path, inspired by a dedicated and experienced team. The "universal offer", is based around:
    • GET ACTIVE - World-class facilities enable young people to participate in a wide range of activities;
    • GET CREATIVE - Arts provision (music, dance, arts & crafts, drama, film etc);
    • GET OUTDOORS - Outdoor activity, residential trips & environmental activities.
    Our "targeted offer" is primarily aimed at addressing specific needs:
    • GET SORTED - Helping young people make the right choices concerning their health
    and well-being through mentoring, counselling and workshops;
    • GET AHEAD - Helping young people think about their future, raise their aspirations
    and gain the skills to prepare for working life e. G. Through the ‘Get a Job’ programme;
    • GET CONNECTED - Helping young people explore the role they can play in their community e. G. Through volunteering and Young Leaders programmes
