The Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund

The RAF Benevolent Fund is the RAF's leading welfare charity with a proud tradition of looking after its own. We are there for all serving and former members of the RAF as well as their partners and dependent children.

Founded 1919

  • Mission statement

We ensure that your donations are spent directly on meeting the needs of the RAF family: each year we assist around 40,000 serving RAF, veterans and their dependants.
Our welfare support is the bedrock of everything that we do. From childcare and relationship difficulties to injury and disability, and from financial hardship and debt to illness and bereavement, we help any member of the RAF family in a broad range of issues.

  • Aims

The Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund aims to:

    • To provide assistance to the RAF family, when they are in need.
    • To maintain and preserve the RAF Memorial in London on behalf of the nation.
    • To support the morale and wellbeing of the serving RAF.
