In its 26th year, Cherry Tree Nursery provides sheltered work in a realistic but pressure-free environment to restore purpose, hope, dignity and community for adults with severe and enduring mental health problems using therapeutic horticulture. There is no time limit on how long people stay.

    'Caring for People, Caring for Plants. '
    We provide rehabilitation for adults with severe and enduring mental health problems in a supportive community environment of a plant nursery. The therapeutic benefits pf working with plants and nature are increasingly valued and we are an important part of the local community, selling plants and helping to challenge the stigma and discrimination associated with mental illness.

    Cherry Tree Nursery (Sheltered Work Opportunities Project) aims to:

    • To promote recovery and self-esteem, provide purpose, dignity and hope and to build confidence a sense of community and a family environment for as long as it is needed.
    • To work in the local community and with local groups to protect and improve the environment, local ecology, habitats and wildlife for all.
    • To challenge stigma and discrimination associated with mental illness.
