Children & the Arts

We inject creativity, enjoyment and aspiration into the lives of disadvantaged children and their communities.

We harness the power of the arts to transform the lives of children from black and white into colour. Through partnerships with arts venues, schools, children's hospices and creative practitioners, we enable to help children develop both academic and personal skills through our sustained arts engagement programme which lasts a minimum of thee years.

Founded 2006

  • Mission statement

We champion the power of the arts to transform lives and strive towards a future where all children in the UK gain access to the arts.
We reach out to the many children who, through social, physical or economic disadvantage, are denied access to cultural venues and to high-quality arts activity. We do this by developing partnerships between children’s hospices or schools and their local arts venues over a period of up to 3 years. During the course of our projects, in-depth, meaningful relationships are cemented between partners and the young people, culminating in an opportunity for children to exhibit or perform their own work in a professional arts venue in front of their parents, carers and peers.
