The Nystagmus Network is the oldest charity in the UK providing support and information about the eye condition nystagmus. The charity was established in 1980s and has been at the forefront in supporting people who are affected by the condition whilst also promoting a better understanding of nystagmus. Through the charity’s extensive involvement in research we are moving closer to finding effective treatments.
The Nystagmus provides a variety of services to those people with nystagmus. These are:
# Support - The charity provides a support network
to families and individuals through social media and large events.
# Research - Through our research funding we have been able to develop a deeper understanding about nystagmus.
# Awareness - The charity raises the awareness and
understanding of nystagmus to the public and healthcare professionals.
We are committed to finding an effective treatment for the condition and to ensure those with nystagmus have as high a quality of life as possible.
Nystagmus Network aims to:
- Research - support the research into nystagmus to understand the cause of the condition and to find a treatment.
- Support - the charity has an extensive support network and brings together those people affected by the condition
- Empowerment - the charity aims to empower those people with nystagmus to help them achieve their life goals.
