Christ Church Community Trust

The Christ Church Community Trust, formerly The Friends of Christ Church Kensington Trust, was set up to raise community and financial support to enable the restoration and regeneration of Christ Church Kensington. The church building is a hub for the surrounding community, providing what is, for many in the area, the only viable space for a host of spiritual, community and cultural activities. The Trust was set up to ensure the building is preserved and improved for these ends.

Founded 2007

  • Mission statement

    From our Deed of Trust:
"The Trustees shall hold the Trust Fund and its income upon trust to apply them as the Trustees shall from time to time decide:
To repair, restore, renew, augment, maintain, clean, beautify, heat, light, and otherwise improve the church of Christ Church... "

  • Aims

Christ Church Community Trust aims to:

    • Restoration: Many important structural repair have been completed in recent years. The aisle roofs in particular remain in urgent need of repair (by Autumn 2016) to prevent furhter water ingress.
    • Regeneration: We long for Christ Church to be a thriving centre of activity in a flourishing neighbourhood. Our planned improvements will benefit the wider community, particularly our local schools.
