Mane Chance Sanctuary

We rescue and rehabilitate abused, abandoned and old horses, integrating them with the local community. We regularly host visits from terminally ill children, those with special needs and other underprivileged young people fulfilling our aim of helping horses help people.

Founded 2011

  • Mission statement

To provide sanctuary and relief from suffering for horses, while promoting humane behavior to all animals and mutually-beneficial relationships with people who need them. Our vision is to inspire on two levels. We believe there is no place for dominance in horse care and equally that horses have great value as healers. Through working with, and helping people in the way we do, we aim to lead by example and change the wider public’s perception of the value of the horse.

  • Aims
