Birch Hall Adventures is a Christian charity which provides outdoor education and activities for schools, groups and corporate organisations. We aim to develop confidence, leadership and independence in people of all ages and abilities.

  • Mission statement

    Birch Hall Adventures was established in 2014 and registered as a charity in 2015. We are located on a farm on the North Essex coast adjacent to Hamford Water Nature Reserve, with 400 acres of farmland and direct access to the backwaters, made famous in Arthur Ransome’s ‘Secret Water’. We work with schools and groups to provide outdoor education and adventure in a positive and encouraging Christian environment. We aim to build confidence, independence and leadership skills in people of all ages and abilities.

  • Aims

    Birch Hall Adventures aims to:

    • to advance the Christian faith in accordance with the Statement of Beliefs in the United Kingdom or elsewhere as the trustees may from time to time think fit
    • to advance education, including in the areas of outdoor pursuits, environmental studies, sport, music, arts and crafts, by such means as the trustees may consider appropriate
    • to provide facilities for recreation, sport or other leisure time occupation in the interest of social welfare for persons who have need of such facilities
