  • Mission statement

Our Mission statement is 'Removing barriers and Seeing the lives of Local people enhanced so they reach their full potential'. We work with families and children who experience high degrees of poverty in an area of high social deprivation and disadvantage. Greenwich, Woolwich and Thamesmead has a very high rate of unemployment. Statistics across the borough for poverty are measured and statistics show a number of children receiving free school meals which is very high in Greenwich. Greenwich has one of the highest rates of teenage pregnancy in Europe. The numbers of single parent families and families who would consider themselves dysfunctional and in need is also on the increase. We aim to provide projects & activities to support and encourage, personal development, knowledge and skills. We want children, young people and families to engage in activities they may not have access to before and engage to enhance the lives of families. The project are for everyone so that families engage in activities appropriate to them. Quality is at the heart of what we do and engaging all people groups is a priority. We have direct contact with families as we run projects ourselves and families are referred by various agencies such as home start, women’s aid, family’s service unit and social services. We run a restorative justice programme in Isis Prison which reduces the re offending crime rate and work in Belmarsh prison weekly. We also work in partnership with many local organisations.
