The Dare To Live Trust

We provide cutting edge education and life skills programmes for vulnerable children and young adults using our evidence based IFEAL Equine Assisted Human Development methodology

Founded 2014

  • Mission statement

The need for integrative social, emotional and mental health programmes for children and young people across the UK is growing with alarming statistics evidencing a fast, growing trend in mental health and stress related conditions.

Our mission is to improve the wellbeing and ease the challenges of vulnerable children and young people typically in the care of Local Authorities, in an adoptive placement and known to Youth Offending Services and the Criminal Justice System, as they transition into adult life.

We aim to support them in finding a new direction and to gain emotional stability, as well as valuable insights as how best to integrate effectively into all aspects of adult life – from personal through family life to education and the workplace.

These are skills that are profoundly necessary should that young person be challenged with issues around exclusion due to social deprivation and/or permanence and transition through being in care.

We want to empower young people to take control, own their lives and build new pathways, neurological and actual through learning to manage their own behaviour and understand it’s root causes.

We will build a unique experience for each child/young person around the equine facilitated human development sessions and above all, make sure the work is intriguing, empowering and meaningful.
