Mind in West Essex believes that with the appropriate support, everyone has the potential to take steps that will improve their quality of life.

Founded 2002

  • Mission statement

We support people of West Essex affected by mental ill health, and the people around them, to take these steps.

We aim to achieve this by providing a range of focused activities and opportunities. We are committed to finding ways of developing these activities in a way that makes them easy accessible and responsive to the needs of the local population.

We aspire to ensure that the following values can be clearly visible throughout our organisation:

Welcoming: to everyone who comes into contact with any part of our organisation.

Open: to all forms of feedback and open to change.

Inclusive: everyone who is part of our organisation feels included and involved.

Informed: We listen to what people are telling us and keep up to date with information about best practice.

Responsive: We strive to be responsive to the changing needs of the population of West Essex and to the changing requirements of those who commission services from us.

Effective: everyone who receives a service from us is helped to move forward on their journey towards mental wellbeing. Giving people the skills and techniques to deal with these issues again in the future.
