Victoria's Promise

Victoria’s Promise support young women aged 18-40 who have been diagnosed with cancer.

Founded 2014

  • Mission statement

Victoria's Promise was set up in 2014 in memory of Victoria Van Der Westhuizen, who lost her battle against cancer at the age of just 29. After Victoria’s family saw first-hand the struggles that young women face during chemotherapy and the aspects of care that were being overlooked, it was clear that supporting these brave young women was an area in which they could make a positive difference.

Victoria’s Promise works directly with young women aged 18-40 who have been diagnosed with cancer, providing support such as counselling, reflexology, oncology massage, specialist skin care, make up tutorials and funding breathable and tailored wigs.

  • Aims

    Victoria's Promise aims to:

    • To provide advice, support and therapeutic services to young women aged 18-40 undergoing cancer treatment, to support their physical and mental well-being.
