    Core Purpose

    The core purpose of Richard House is to accompany families with children and young people with life limiting / life threatening and complex healthcare conditions during the child or young person’s journey through life and through death, creating positive experiences along the way which become good memories for the future.


    Richard House’s vision is for communities to have space where they can journey together to create memories, enhancing the lives of children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and the lives of their families, through life, death and beyond.

    Richard House Trust aims to:

    • To be a leading provider that collaborates with others to offer a holistic care service for children/young people and their families with palliative and complex health care needs
    • To engage with our local communities so that we understand more about their needs and they become more involved in the provision of care, aiming to establish a compassionate community response
    • To develop a culture of high performing teams to continually improve our organisational competence, aiming to work in the most efficient and effective manner in the unfolding circumstances.
    • To realise a sustainable cost base in line with our achievable income coming from a range of income streams to support our strategic objectives.
