  • Mission statement

    "Attic will engage people in the arts by commissioning and producing theatre that challenges and excites audiences, and empowers the communities we work with in Merton, across London and on tour. "
    We mount productions of new work and revivals of contemporary classics that tour nationally as well as within the borough and to central London and we have built a reputation in staging quality, text based productions.
    We also have a strong community outreach programme, working with older people to improve their wellbeing and creativity as well as young refugees and asylum seekers to support their transition into the UK.
    We receive core funding from the London Borough of Merton and raise project funding independently and have been in operation for twenty years. The company is run by two part time, permanent staff Artistic Director Louise Hill and General Manager Victoria Hibbs.
