Tomorrow's Warriors Trust

Tomorrow's Warriors helps talented young jazz musicians who face disadvantage overcome the barriers to fulfilling their potential through mentoring and access to inspirational creative opportunities

Founded 2013

  • Mission statement

We envision a world where ethnicity, gender and social status represent no barrier to participation, ownership, influence or leadership in the music industry.

We will build on our work over the past 20+ years as a key agent of change in the quality and diversity of music education and cultural provision in the UK.

    ---
Production and consumption of culture and creativity should be enjoyed by the whole population and deliver the entitlement of all to a rich cultural and expressive life.

... Despite commitment to the inclusion of the whole population, diversity of the creative workforce, leadership and consumers remains a key challenge to the future success of the Cultural and Creative Industries and to the cultural wellbeing of the British public. Making decisive progress is both a social and economic imperative... We cannot fully enrich Britain unless we do. "

    Warwick Commission Report 2015

“Going into a concert hall, you see an entirely white orchestra, a white audience and a white soloist”
Julian Lloyd Webber, The Guardian, June 2013
