Autistic Society Greater Manchester Area

We provide support for parents and carers through our Autism Information and Family Support Service and direct support for people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions through our Aspirations and Life Skills Projects.

  • Mission statement

    The Society exists to support individuals affected by an Autistic Spectrum Condition; alongside their parents, carers and families who reside within the Greater Manchester Area.

  • Aims

    Autistic Society Greater Manchester Area aims to:

    • Work with the 10 Local Authorities and voluntary sector agencies to ensure that those affected by Autistic Spectrum Conditions are provided with the appropriate provision of health, education and so
    • Enable people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions to access mainstream social and leisure opportunities.
    • Facilitate the development of life skills through personalised 1-2-1 support programmes.
    • Provide support and guidance for parents, carers and families. Provide a greater knowledge and understanding of Autistic Spectrum Conditions through information, publicity, courses and conferences.
