The Moldova Project Trust

The Moldova Project supports families living in extreme poverty in Moldova, Europe's poorest country, so they can become self-sufficient. The aim of our work is to help these families to live happier, healthier and safer lives, greatly improving their children's quality of life and future prospects.

Founded 2008

  • Mission statement

    Our mission is to give children living in poverty in Moldova a better future. We do this by working with them directly to address the needs faced by their families, ensuring that:
    - Every children has access to education, and has the opportunity to access further education, training or employment in the future;
    - Every child can stay with their family, instead of being put into an orphanage because their family can't afford to look after them;
    - Every child has parents at home with them, rather than working abroad due to lack of opportunities in their local area;
    - Every child feels safe, and is not a victim of domestic violence or any other kind of abuse;
    - Every child is warm and happy during winter, and lives in an insulated house with some form of heating;
    - Every child has the medication and treatment they need to be healthy.

    Our activities are planned to address these needs, as well as responding to individual needs of the families we work with as they arrive.
