Home-start Redbridge

Home-Start is the largest family support organisation in the UK. It is a charitable organisation offering friendship, emotional and practical help to parents and their children who are experiencing stress, isolation, loneliness and other difficulties. Support is given by trained volunteers and is available to any family with at least one child under 5 years of age.

There are over 300 schemes nationally and each scheme is firmly rooted in the heart of the community it serves.

About Home-Start Redbridge
We are based in Ilford and serve the entire Redbridge area. Our families are assisted in their homes by our trained volunteer befrienders who offer practical, emotional and general support.

The charity has a small dedicated team of staff as well as its volunteers who give their time freely and without whom the service could not continue. Most of our volunteers are parents themselves so they bring understanding and empathy to the role.

We have achieved much over the last few years, but still need to do more.
