Bipolar UK is the only national charity dedicated to supporting individuals, families, and carers with the much misunderstood and complex illness of bipolar.

Founded 1983

  • Mission statement

    Our vision is that everyone affected by bipolar can find the support they need when they need it.

    We support individuals across the UK from diverse backgrounds including; local communities, young people, unemployed and vulnerable adults, families, research partners and mental health organisations.

    We're determined to support and empower more people affected by bipolar. 90% of our income comes from donations by wonderful individuals, Trusts and other organisations.

    • To expand and develop our services We will continue to provide effective, sustainable and innovative services that support and empower individuals and families.
    • To raise awareness of bipolar We will increase awareness of bipolar in both public and professional arenas to help enhance understanding of this complex illness and reduce stigma.
    • To strengthen our organisation We will invest in our organisation to ensure we provide the best services and support possible.
