  • Mission statement

We believe that supporting adult couple relationships is a matter of social justice. By supporting couples to build strong, healthy relationships or to help them when they are struggling in their relationships we have the potential to make a real difference to children’s life chances, to adult wellbeing and to the emotional and economic health of our society. Our contribution to this vision is by providing relationship education, marriage preparation and relationship counselling through 53 hubs with 100 counselling venues across England, Wales and Gibraltar. We are the largest faith based provider of marriage preparation and relationship counselling services in the UK.

In 2014/15 our two main services were delivered by 670 highly trained practitioner and support volunteers aided by a small team of paid staff based in London and Nottingham (12 FTE). During the last year over 82,500 people accessed information about marriage and relationships from Marriage Care.
