  • Mission statement

Families are a priority for the charity ensuring that they are supported when they most need it. These families come from all over Scotland. Kidney Kids Scotland also supports hospitals all over Scotland supplying them with much needed equipment and funding for posts recognised as being essential.

We achieve this by working closely and relying on the expertise of consultants, medical and welfare personnel to identify where the Charity can best provide help. Since its inception kidney Kids Scotland have distributed over one and a half million pounds towards the treatment of children in Scotland suffering from renal/urology problems.

Kidney disease has no cure. It is a disease that families have to learn to live with. It is a particularly debilitating, embarrassing and often unsociable condition for children and their families. Teens find it particularly distressing and think "why me? " it can only be controlled by dialysis and transplant.

Kidney Kids Scotland receive no government funding.
