We support the well-being of the Brighton and Hove LGBTQ community by providing a telephone helpline service; counselling; health inclusion and older persons projects and volunteering opportunities.

  • Mission statement

    Our mission is to improve the physical and mental health and general well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQ) people in Brighton and Hove and surrounding areas in Sussex, and anyone affected by issues related to sexual and gender identity.
    We aim to help build a community in which LGBTQ people are valued, have the opportunity to achieve quality of life and well-being and will reach their full potential.

  • Aims

    Brighton And Hove LGBT Switchboard aims to:

    • To provide confidential LGBTQ services with the aim of improving physical and mental health, quality of life and general well-being.
    • To inform, support and counsel people in the local LGBTQ community, including those experiencing discrimination or disadvantage
    • To promote consultation and user participation in the planning and development of local statutory and voluntary sector services in collaborative partnership with other mainstream and LGBTQ agencies.
    • To inform the public and increase the knowledge and skills or agencies in providing services to LGBTQ people.
