Educate the kids

Our vision is to see the children in Africa have their needs met, their rights upheld, and their dreams fulfilled. We believe this can be achieved through education.

Founded 1998

  • Mission statement

Through regular sponsorship Educate the kids have provided hope for children who live in abject poverty. Amongst the hardships of life in Africa, hunger, malaria, typhoid fever are common trials that many families struggle with.
We believe that education helps eradicate poverty which is the principle source of these problems, and also promotes self reliance. If we neglect a child of young person we compromise the future of the whole community. All children who attend the schools and the orphanage around the village of Utange in Kenya come from the poorest circumstances. Educate the kids was established in 1998, has no paid staff in the UK and is run by volunteers. All money donated through us goes to where it should, the children. We employ local teachers and axillary staff in Kenya as we believe this provides hope and opportunities for those without. Educate the kids have established a feeding programme and built an orphanage out of necessity and have dug a bore-hole to provide fresh clean water.
