The Rare Trust
The Rare Trust
We are a performing arts school in Liverpool. We provide high quality teaching for young people who are talented but wouldn't normally have access to training and are from disadvantaged backgrounds.
We provide access to exceptional training for young people aged 9-21 who are from disadvantaged backgrounds but have an untapped and untrained talent in acting, dance, singing or musical theater. These young people are from disadvantaged backgrounds, are experiencing child poverty, abuse, addictions in the family, homelessness, worklessness, are young carers or maybe in care themselves. We nurture the talent they have been born with and shape it into something that will give them a way to escape the cycle. We only take students who have the potential to progress in performing arts for a living but take them regardless of their background. We offer a 360 degree service which includes low or no fees, support with uniform, transport costs, mentoring and advice. We have had students who before joining us were not in education, employment or training and are now achieving places at LAMDA, RADA, Urdang, LIPA and all the top performing arts schools. We are a centre of excellence in the city, and now in the north west but without the exclusive price. We believe in ability and not the ability to pay. We offer full time, part time and weekend training.
