Ulster Wildlife Trust

Established in 1978 by volunteers, the Ulster Wildife Trust is the largest ,locally based, membership driven charity in Northern Ireland. We want a healthy environment which is valued by all. We undertake our work across the land and in our seas through the management of 20 nature reserves: training, education and outreach programmes inspiring people from all parts of our society about the natural world and encouraging them to take responsibility for it;and through influencing and advising policymakers and key influencers at all levels of government and industry to take positive action for wildlfe.
We firmly believe that without a properly functioning natural world that our lives will be detrimently impacted. Natural resources provide us with the food that we eat, the water we drink and the fuel on which we depend. These resources are not infinite, and in order to ensure that they are not fully depleted, we need to take action. By looking after what we have and using natural systems to deal with problems associated with climate change, pollution and the removal of habitats, we will all have a better healthier future.
