SplitMoon performs new and little known drama with a strong international core. Offering audiences highly imaginative, thought provoking work that might not otherwise be shown.
Patron Henry Goodman
Our emphasis is on the craft of theatre - skill of the actor and importance of language. Our style is often poetic and heightened, epic with a contemporary edge. We believe passionately in the survival of theatre, it's role in society and the importance of nurturing talent. We also respect the audience's desire to see challenging work, that lifts them out of the 'everyday'.
We explore and develop new material through workshops and readings before production. As a charity all funds go directly into the work and artists, overheads and goverance costs are minimal.
On our production of Bertolt Brecht's "In The Jungle of Cities" at the Arcola Theatre involving an ensemble of 10 actors: -

"The work of a hauntingly original imagination in this rare revival by Peter Sturm for SplitMoon" The Guardian
"Here is an astounding company that delights in the play's personality disorder on all fronts.... Full of bravura, this is a wonder. " The Stage
