  • Mission statement

Home for Good's vision is a home for every child who needs one. Home for Good is a charity which aims to make adoption and fostering a significant part of the life and ministry of the Church in the UK. We are dedicated to inspiring, equipping and coordinating the network of local movements, churches and individuals who are making the Home for Good vision a reality. We raise awareness of the need for foster and adoptive parents, encouraging families to provide loving homes for the children in care, and equipping the Church to offer welcoming communities for them. We run information evenings for people wishing to find out more about what fostering and adoption involves, and how to get started. At the heart of Home for Good is a growing network of champions, who are equipped to raise the profile of fostering and adoption in their communities, and offer peer support. We work with groups of churches and local authorities in areas throughout the UK, running localised campaigns across the country to encourage people to become foster carers and adoptive parents. Home for Good isn’t an Adoption Agency, but we are now working with five excellent Adoption Agencies to create the Home for Good pathway to adoption. Recommended by Home for Good, considered ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted, the agencies are committed to providing a faith-friendly service and offer fantastic post-adoption support – for life
