One In A Million (sports)

One in a Million is a Bradford charity working with disadvantaged, excluded and vulnerable youngsters from the more deprived areas of our district. We engage them by Sport, Arts & Education projects.

  • Mission statement

    'Passionate about investing in children and young people in and out of school'.
    Our passion is to make a difference in our city, and our projects instill young people with skills, confidence and knowledge and to provide pathways into employment, education and training, working individually with them to help them achieve their full potential.
    We tackle disadvantage, exclusion, unemployment, low educational attainment and social issues including racism, drugs, alcohol abuse, obesity and crime & anti-social behaviour.

  • Aims

    One In A Million (sports) aims to:

    • Through our Sport & Recreation projects to provide youngsters with healthy activity as well as addressing social issues like crime/ASB, obesity/poor nutrition, racism, drugs, binge drinking, bullying
    • Via Community Education projects to NEET young people, in vocational subjects like IT/Media, Music, Cookery, Dance/Drama & Sports Leadership, we provide progression pathways into education/employment
    • Through our 'Kidz'/Youth Clubs we aim to provide Cookery and Arts/Crafts training, giving youngsters direction, a focus and a means of channelling their energy positively, preparing them for adulthood
