The Honeyrose Foundation

The Honeyrose Foundation became a registered charity in 2004 dedicated to raising money and organising special days for adults 40 plus suffering from a life-threatening and terminal illness.

Founded 2004

  • Mission statement

The Honeyrose Foundation aim is to provide a special wish for adults who are suffering from a life-threatening or terminal illness and give them a special day or weekend to remember and enjoy.
The charity was established in memory of three close friends of the founder Lynn Duffy MBE, who all died of a terminal illness. Nicola Honey passed away aged 21 of a rare ovarian cancer, Karen White was 27 when she lost her battle with a brain tumour and Rose Clark fought lung cancer until she was aged 57. The foundation is their legacy.

We aim to become self-sustainable by 2017, and want to become an instantly recognisable charity in the voluntary sector.

We provide a nationwide service and work with a number of professional medical organisations who refer applicants who meet our criteria.
We have delivered special wishes to nearly 6,000 people over the past 12 years and have had success with securing funds from various sources, and business partners.
In order to build upon the successes we have developed a strong business plan with a clear marketing and fund raising strategy to continue and expand our wish granting for the future,
