The 10:10 Foundation

We’re on the way to a cleaner, cleverer, low-carbon world, and everyone deserves a chance to help build it. As the UK's climate change charity, 10:10 creates these chances, and brings people together to make the most of them.

Founded 2014

  • Mission statement

Our vision is a world where people can flourish and prosper free from the threat of climate change.

Our mission is to bring people together to take positive practical action to tackle climate change and increase the demand for those with power to do the same.

We communicate the challenge of climate change and its solutions in a way that everyone can relate to and will actively want to get involved with; a way that brings both personal agency and a fresh perspective on the power of collective action to effect meaningful change.

We create opportunities to tackle climate change that are exciting and engaging instead of disempowering and depressing.

We see our role as being to turn the public’s broad but shallow approval of action on climate change into strong, positive, practical commitments. When individuals have an emotional or financial stake in the low carbon world, they won’t stand for decision makers dismissing it as ‘green crap’.

  • Aims

    The 10:10 Foundation aims to:

    • Engage the public who accept the science of climate change but are not actively engaged though individual and collective practical, empowering actions or campaigns which cut emissions.
    • Provide opportunities and desire for the public and investors to shift investment into creating a new energy system, away from fossil fuels.
    • Combat ‘stealth denial’ and establish the plausibility of climate mitigation.
    • Reflect this to those in power and back to wider society – creating a reinforcing cycle.
