The Church Army

Church Army is a mission-focused community of people who are transforming lives and communities through the work of evangelists, across the UK and Ireland.

Founded 1882

  • Mission statement

Our vision is to be a leading organisation in the training, equipping and deploying of evangelists, to develop appropriate and relevant forms of Christian community for pioneering situations.

We are achieving this through the implementation of our DARE strategy which aims to better fulfil our mission: "to see people come to a living faith in Jesus Christ".

DARE has four objectives which underpin our work:
    Doing evangelism
    Advocating evangelism
    Resourcing evangelism
    Enabling evangelism

  • Aims

    The Church Army aims to:

    • Our aim is to bring people to a living faith in Jesus Christ through the following: • To train, enable and equip evangelists
    • • To present people with the love of Christ in such a way that they can understand and respond
    • • To give practical help and care to people to whom we go with the Good News, particularly those on the margins of society
    • • To take the good news to those areas and people where the church has little meaningful impact
    • • To inspire, train and mobilise the wider church in its task of evangelism.
