  • Mission statement

The charitable objects of KEEN are:

 The relief of mentally and physically handicapped children and young adults
by the provision of recreational and sporting activities.

 The provision of individual and group instruction at each activity.

 The sponsorship of weekly training sessions and special competitions for said
    activities.

 The provision of training and educations for volunteers assisting children in
the course of recreational and sporting activities.

    ACTIVITIES

KEEN runs four regular activities in Oxford University term time:

AllSorts is our Saturday sports session for young people with special needs
('athletes') aged 4-25. Each week the athletes rotate around three different
activities, covering a whole range of sports, from traditional games such as
football and basketball to slightly more unusual activities like cheerleading and quidditch.

 Zig-Zag is our performing arts session, aimed at athletes of primary school
age. Each session comprises a mixture of music, dance, craft and games.
Activities follow a different theme every term, covering anything from nursery
    rhymes to Hollywood blockbusters.

 KEEN Teens is our social club for teenagers, aiming to provide age
appropriate activities, such as cooking, science experiments, a
multitude of games and a murder mystery night.

 GrEAT is our social club for young adults over 18 years of age. Again the aim
is to provide age-appropriate activities, including pub quizzes, bowling and
    karoke nights.
