  • Mission statement

We offer specialist support for children and families facing individual challenges from three Children & Family Centres across North London; the Kennedy Leigh Centre in North-West, the Somers Centre in North-East and the Norwood Centre in North London.

Our Children and Family Centres support approximately 1,400 families each year and offer a range of family services which includes parent groups, art therapy, children’s counselling and specialist groups such as yoga for pre-school children with disabilities.

We support children from 0-19, providing appropriate support and guidance for those who may not be able to access mainstream learning provisions. This may be due to their complex behavioural, social and emotional needs, learning and developmental difficulties, language and communication difficulties or motor impairments, which may make it more challenging for them to learn effectively.

Norwood is there to offer support throughout the lives of people with learning disabilities and autism. We provide recreational and respite services as well as housing support and advice. Through our Life Long Learning service, people have numerous opportunities to develop life and work skills by accessing a number of courses, travel training, sport, support from qualified job coaches and employment projects.
