Dementia Adventure is dedicated to helping people with dementia and their carers connect with nature and a sense of adventure in their lives. We offer an alternative to traditional respite.

Founded 2013

  • Mission statement

Dementia Adventure is dedicated to helping people with dementia and their carers connect with nature and a sense of adventure in their lives. Built on a foundation of Dementia Advocacy and experience of adventure travel, it now organises activities from park walks to sailing holidays, and helps organisations who already work with people living with dementia to improve how they help people to continue to enjoy activities out in nature.

  • Aims

The Dementia Adventure Trust aims to:

    • To relieve the needs of people living with dementia, and their carers by: providing or assisting in the provision of holidays, outdoor activities or other support.
    • To promote research into the benefits of activities which assist in furthering the understanding of living purposefully and meaningfully with dementia and publishing the results of that research.
