Scottish Youth Parliament

The Scottish Youth Parliament (SYP) is a non-party political organisation which aims to promote and share the views of young people both on a national and international stage. It is unique as it is youth-led, all major decisions are made by those aged between 14 and 25. It also aims to enhance and build citizenship among young people and boost community development. Furthermore a key aim is to challenge the negative media and public opinions of young people in Scotland. These goals are achieved as best we can by various events, including consultations, ’speak-easy’ events, campaigns and quarterly sittings.
