  • Mission statement

Our Mission Statement at Dartford & Crayford Sea Cadets mirrors that of the parent Sea Cadets Corps. Donations made through the Big Give can help us the Trustees of Dartford & Crayford Sea Cadets by strengthening our current financial difficulties and to help us build on our new start in partnership with our local authority which has the foresight to see that we are committed to turning our recent bad fortunes around and building upon what we have achieved in such a short space of time, and can see for themselves our potential strengths and opportunities. Our target is to become within the next 12- 18 months self financing by means of finding new innovative ways of obtaining an income from our unique venue setting and facilities. Already we have been approached by another local youth group to hire part of our units outbuildings for its own use thus providing us with some working capital which would go towards our core running costs and enable us to pay for urgent repairs that have so far eluded our ability to carryout due to funding restraints.
Donations made to us through The Big Gift will go a long way to fulfilling our aims and to provide us with adequate reserves whilst freeing us up at this moment in time from consuming fundraising events that do not reach the estimated monthly amount we need to raise to sustain us. Not resting on our laurels by anyway the breathing space a grant allocation should you award us will enable us to look at the much bigger picture.
