Hope Into Action: East Of England

Hope into Action provides homes for homeless people in cities across England in partnership with local churches.

Founded 2010

  • Mission statement

Hope into Action provide longer term accommodation for street sleepers, ex offenders, ex addicts and those fleeing domestic abuse with quality accommodation together with professional and emotional support. Our Support Workers and local volunteer mentors from the local community provide support to help tenants rehabilitate back into mainstream society.

We currently provide homes for 60 tenants in 27 houses in Cambridge, Peterborough, Lincoln, Nottingham, Norwich, Reading, Ipswich, Woodbridge and Wolverhampton.

  • Aims

Hope Into Action: East Of England aims to:

    • To reduce the number of people who are forced to live on the streets in England.
    • 40% of those leaving prison have no one to greet them at the prison gates or a place to live. We want to provide mentors to greet them and homes for them upon leaving prison.
    • To partner with local churches so that they can help the vulnerable in their community.
    • To find investors who can rent a house to us so that we can home more homeless people.
    • To help rehabilitate our tenants so they continue to stay off alcohol or drugs and maintain their tenancy.
