Hope Into Action: East Of England

Hope into Action is a registered charity whose unique purpose is to enable churches to house the homeless.

Founded 2010

  • Mission statement

Hope into Action sees a time when there is a home for the homeless in every community and those people are supported and befriended by local church volunteers.
Work began in 2010 with a handful of people passionate about changing homelessness in the city of Peterborough. We launched with one couple putting some savings into a house. The house was refurbished to house two young men in a homeless situation; they were supported and befriended by the local church. Today we run over 50 homes like this housing some of the most marginalised and isolated people in our neighbourhoods – providing direct support to people whom others have often given up on. To support the needs of our vulnerable tenants - ex-offenders, former prostitutes and addicts, victims of trafficking - we depend on your donation.

  • Aims

Hope Into Action: East Of England aims to:

    • To enable local churches to house and befriend the homeless in their community.
    • To offer the homeless a safe home and strong, positive relationships so they may find the motivation and hope to bring about positive holistic change in their lives.
