  • Mission statement

FACE is a registered youth and community charity based in Filton, north Bristol, just in South Gloucestershire. Filton is one of 6 priority neighbourhoods; due to higher levels of crime and poverty, and lower levels of educational attainment and poor health.
Our work is focused on inclusivity for those who are disadvantaged and developing effective quality work with young people, and those of all ages, so that people in our community are better encouraged, educated, and informed to make positive changes in their lives.
We run youth clubs for ages 7-19 as well a youth club for young people with social/learning difficulties aged 11-15 and a social/transition group for people with learning/social difficulties aged 16+. We run Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards and can also deliver mentoring and support packages in-and-out of school in areas such as Relationships and Sex Education, Confidence & Self-esteem, Risky Behaviours and Self Injury. We run a Silver Surfers computer drop-in and a Work Club as well as Community leanring courses for adults with below level 2 qualifications.
We help people to attain new skills and improve confidence and self-esteem, through their gaining recognition and awards, developing active citizenship, developing awareness of the world around us and encouraging volunteering.
We tackle societal issues and pressures such as drugs, alcohol, housing, diet, image, and mental and physical health in a safe and structured way that people can easily relate to.
