Charity information

Ducklington Pre-school

We are pre school charity working from our village hall 5 mornings a week taking children from the age of 2 and half till school age. We prepare these children for school in a safe and happy setting.

Founded 1975

  • Mission statement

Our Project is to raise £300,000 to erect a purpose-built Pre School and provide outside play area for the children in our community. We are always fully booked and have a waiting list already for the following September and need to provide childcare that is the same hours as the school so our own building is now essential for us to provide for the families in the community.
Once we have our own building we will be open 5 full days a week, to benefit working parents, provide childcare for children from the age of 2 instead of 2 and half, and provide a location for after school clubs which is also desperately needed within the community. The security within the school will give us freedom to provide better outdoor play and more space to develop the children ready for school.

  • Aims

    Ducklington Pre-school aims to:

    • To provide childcare places from 2 instead of 2 and a half year olds. We are unable to take 2 years old due to lack of childcare spaces.
    • To provide childcare to match school hours instead of just mornings so more convenient for working parents.
    • Our new project will provide a more secure setting within the school instead of temporary barriers erected each morning.
    • The outdoor space granted by the school will allow us a very large covered outdoor play area. The children will have access to this all year round with grass and planters.
    • To serve the community by leasing the building to after school clubs.
