The Park Theatre
The Park Theatre
Park Theatre is a theatre for London today. Our vision is to become a nationally and internationally recognised powerhouse of theatre.
Park Theatre opened in Finsbury Park in May 2013, marking the completion of a long, but successful capital campaign to raise £2. 6 million and had already made a vital contribution to North London.
With two intimate and flexible performance spaces, Park Theatre enables audiences to engage with and experience excellent theatre up close. Emerging artists are developed and nurtured in Park 90 whilst relationships with experienced companies continue to be forged in Park 200.
To date, the Park has welcomed almost 200,000 attendees to enjoy performances, events, creative learning and participatory activities. Our warm and welcoming front of house spaces and our ideal location have encouraged users from all sectors of the community, including non-theatre goers, to enjoy our cafe bar, pick up our literature and think about planning a theatre visit.
Our mission is to be a welcoming and vibrant destination for all. We choose plays based on how they make us feel: presenting classics through to new writing, musicals to experimental theatre all united by strong narrative drive and emotional content. Our creative learning activities will nurture new audiences and develop the next generation of theatre practitioners.
The Park Theatre aims to:
- To be a welcoming, vibrant home for the local community.
- To provide world class entertainment.
- To increase the number of in house productions year on year.
- To support emerging talent.
- To develop a creative learning programme for all ages to integrate with our artistic programme.
