We aim to preserve the marine environment and seahorses here in the UK and in other countries by working in partnership with nature to ensure it is here for future generations

  • Mission statement

    The Seahorse Trust has three main objectives;'

    1/ to promote for the benefit of the public the preservation and conservation of rare and endangered species of animals (predominatly but not exclusively seahorses), marine and terrestrial, and flora, marine and terrestrial.

    2/ to advance the education of the public generally about wildlife, flora and fauna and by such improving the quality of their lives, 'the public generally' shall be interpretated as including, but not limited to, disabled and disadvantaged members of society and young people and people with learning disabilities, and members of the local and wider communities and community groups.

    3/ to conduct research and enquiry into the same throughout the world in captivity and in the field and to publise the results to the benefit of the species, other species and habitat and for the general public.

    The Seahorse Trust aims to:
