Cricket Without Boundaries

We empower local communities in Africa through coaching cricket to children & teaching adults how to coach, linking the sport to HIV/AIDS awareness, so that we can turn the epidemic on its head.

Founded 2005

  • Mission statement

We use cricket as a tool for social development across the world. Our focus is on school children, teachers and adults in five countries in Africa (Botswana, Cameroon, Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda). We raise awareness about HIV/AIDS through our cricket coaching, and create cricket festivals where we facilitate mobile HIV status testing and counselling centres. We also use our approach to cricket coaching for gender equality and peace and reconciliation work.

  • Aims

    Cricket Without Boundaries aims to:

    • To organise facilities which enable children & their communities to play cricket or other sports with the object of improving their lives, thereby assisting in their physical education & development
    • To provide education & training to increase awareness of HIV/AIDS and other diseases, and the local, national and international health services available in any part of the world.
