Zimkids are helping to build brighter futures for vulnerable children and families in Zimbabwe. The main objectives of Zimkids are self-sufficiency, relief of poverty, education and developing faith.
Zimkids supports vulnerable children, families and communities in Zimbabwe. We provide families, orphans and widows with training in practical ways to work their own way out of poverty, developing a culture of non-dependence. We aim to relieve poverty by providing emergency food, medical treatment and medication, clothing, bedding and improving accommodation. We also pay school fees and provide uniforms and materials to aid schooling, as well as provide home schooling and extra one-to-one lessons where necessary. Our staff are motivated by Christian faith and we provide spiritual input to all in our care.
Zimkids aims to:
- Self-sufficiency - helping families find their own way out of poverty by teaching them skills and providing resources
- Relief of Poverty - Supplying families with emergency food, healthcare, improving accommodation, encouragement & fun.
- School Education - Offering schooling & extra tuition to those that cannot afford school fees, uniforms etc & are needing support.
- Developing Faith - All our staff are motivated by faith, we offer prayer & bible teaching to all families in our care.
