Tore Eikeland Foundation

We are promoting sustainable development for disadvantaged communities in Africa. Our ultimate goal is to create opportunities so that people have the tools and resources to shape their own future.

Founded 2014

  • Mission statement

There are many factors that contribute to the poverty cycle; cultural, economic, environmental, and social, so we work in a holistic approach. The Tore Eikeland foundation works in rural disadvantaged communities focusing on 5 key areas: Education, Health and Nutrition, Water and Sanitation, Agriculture, and Entrepreneurship.

We believe investing in education and youth can have the largest impact on any community. By providing tools and resources to schools, children have the opportunity to grow and shape their own futures.

Clean and reliable sources of water can be taken for granted in many parts of the world but in some communities, it can be a luxury. We understand the importance of accessible drinking water and work with local partners to create new sustainable water sources.

Affordable and accessible health care and good nutrition is essential for a community. The Tore Eikeland Foundation supports project and clinics through donations of medical goods and educational programs that promote better health and nutrition.

Creating alternative income sources are essential for sustaining economic development. By providing grants and loans, the foundation creates opportunities for individuals and groups to grow or start up their own businesses.

Subsistence Farming is still practiced by a majority of communities in Sub-Saharan Africa. Our foundation aims to address the challenges by providing training and alternative farming practices.
