Young Classical Artists Trust

Identifying, nurturing, promoting and supporting exceptional young UK-based musicians

Founded 1984

  • Mission statement

The Young Classical Artist Trust (YCAT) identifies outstanding young musicians and chamber ensembles, promoting and supporting them through the challenging period between university study and a full-time professional career. Once selected, artists receive between 3 and 5 years of full artist management, providing guidance through strategic diary and repertoire planning, career advice and support, and the provision of high quality publicity material in order to build their professional public profile. Towards the end of their time with YCAT, we aim to pass on a fully formed performing artist to suitable commercial management.

  • Aims

Young Classical Artists Trust aims to:

    • YCAT assists young talented musicians, enabling them to become self-supporting musicians. YCAT provides a full artist management service through advice, instruction and guidance.
    • YCAT holds annual auditions to identify exciting new talent who could benefit from the charity‚Äôs work.
    • YCAT promotes a number of high profile annual presentation concerts to showcase our artists to as wide a public as possible, bringing high-quality classical music to the UK and the world.
