Renewable World works with local partners in Africa and Asia to tackle poverty through enabling the provision of small-scale, sustainable renewable energy systems for remote off-grid communities.
More than 1. 4 billion people worldwide have no access to electricity. Indoor air pollution from paraffin, wood, grass or animal dung used for lighting and heating kills nearly 2 million people every year – mainly women and children.
Renewable World tackles poverty in developing countries by enabling the provision of affordable renewable energy systems for remote off-grid communities. Our projects light up homes, schools and clinics; clean water is pumped to households for washing, cleaning and cooking, and to fields for crop irrigation. Access to energy stimulates trade and enterprise and improves access to health and education opportunities
Renewable World aims to:
- Improve access to renewable energy
- Improve access to education
- Improve healthcare
